Easymoc

The Easymoc features a minimalist silhouette with hand-stitched uppers, fully resolable Vibram camp sole, and Ortholite comfort footbeds. The design adapts a 1970s L.L. Bean last specifically developed for genuine hand-sewn construction, with a higher sidewall and radiused edge accommodating the wrapped vamp leather technique.

The Easymoc workshop was assembled approximately a decade ago by bringing together craftspeople with over 300 years of collective footwear-making experience. Among the team is Peter, an 88-year-old craftsman with more than 60 years of hand-sewing experience. The workshop produces shoes in small batches, with each pair hand-sewn individually by traditional moccasin craftsmen.

The construction process wraps the vamp leather fully under the foot, closing it with a moccasin seam created by hand-sewing the plug to the toe and kicker on the heel. This creates a completely closed pattern using only an awl, needle, and thread. The technique requires no guides or pre-punched holes, relying instead on eye and muscle memory developed through years of practice.

The last used for the Easymoc adapts a 1970s L.L. Bean form originally designed for genuine hand-sewn construction. It features a higher sidewall and an exaggerated, radiused edge that accommodates wrapping the vamp leather to sew the toe plug. The construction method represents what the company describes as 0.0001 percent of global footwear production.

The Easymoc uses full-grain Trail Crazy Horse leather tanned by Seidel Tannery in Milwaukee, Wisconsin. Additional leather options include Chromexcel by Horween, Chocolate Grizzly leather, and various suede finishes in Sand, Toast, Stone, and Black. A Natural Cow Hair variant is also available.

The shoe incorporates an Ortholite comfort hybrid recycled footbed with recycled mesh footbed lining. Custom paracord lacing provides an outdoors-inspired accent. The Vibram camp sole is fully resolable, extending the shoe's serviceable life. All components including laces, stitching, hand-sewing threads, and adhesives are made in the United States.

The Easymoc runs true to Brannock sizing, with sizing guidance recommending a half-size down from standard athletic sneaker sizing for a snug fit that molds to the foot over time. The shoe is manufactured in D width, accommodating C through EE width feet. The last's higher sidewall and radiused edge serve both functional and comfort purposes, supporting the wrapped vamp construction while providing structure.

The minimalist design emphasizes clean lines without excessive detailing. The slip-on format eliminates traditional lacing systems while maintaining the hand-sewn moccasin aesthetic. The shoe's design philosophy centers on versatility, functioning equally as indoor house shoe, casual everyday footwear, or slipper depending on context.

The Easymoc is available in sizes 5.5 through 14 for both men's and women's sizing. Men's sizes weigh approximately 1,361 grams per pair, while women's sizes weigh approximately 907 grams. Pricing ranges from $250 to $325 depending on leather selection, with suede variants typically priced at $250 to $285, leather versions at $290 to $295, and Chromexcel variants at $325.
