Viberg Service Boot

C.F. Stead Whiskey Phoenix
LewJay

Viberg’s 2040 service boot in C.F Stead’s Whisky Phoenix: A Perfect Fit

At this price point the first scratch in the leather stung a bit, but with this fantastic patina the scars bring character. Six months of hard wear and they clean up well and will continue to be my fall/winter/spring boot of choice for many years to come. I love Viberg’s lineup and C.F.Stead’s leathers are awesome. This boot is a keeper in the 2040 for me and the dark reddish Whiskey-hue is a sure choice for many as it coordinates with so many different outfits, for work or pleasure. I believe in cost per wear, and although these boots are expensive, they are cheap when considering the years of wear they provide, not to mention the pleasure they offer on so many levels.

I love this boot! It holds up to wet and muddy weather, cleans up great, and looks amazing.

I highly recommend this leather and last and especially the maker for the high quality of the product.

Why I own this

Limited Release

Viberg’s 10.5 2040 last got my feet great with little to no break in required. And C.F. Stead’s leathers are amazing. I love the how the dark red patinas and suite the fall/winter/spring seasons. I wear a lighter leather tone in the summer. This Bovine leather is also heavily waxed and water resistant which was great while I was in Tokyo last fall. I love the comando sole but have been very happy with these ridgeway soles for their exceptional grip and sleek look allowing me to dress them up nicely for a nice dinner in a fashionable restaurant. I used them for weekly hikes in the bush and were great in the snow and my new job at a garden center allowed me to wear them at work too where I was able to capture some nice pics and put in more miles too.

How I sized

I first got interested in fine boot wear last January and was thrilled to learn that Viberg in Victoria BC CANADA is only a 90 minute drive from my home. I was able to visit their facility and try on numerous pairs, sorting out sizing and lasts and leathers and love a thick leather on a sturdy sole for the stability and support this offers.
