Horween Marbled Garnet Shell Cordovan
With 5 minutes remaining I've discovered the link to the essay. Much to say no time to say it. Allen Edmonds is often overlooked in the heritage community, but as one of the last standing American shoemakers it still deserves a fair shake. The Higgins Mill is probably their best boot, built on a truly amazing last. I endeavored to put this pair through the grinder over the past five months, and succeeded I mostly have. While my work doesn't take me away from the office much I have attempted to get out often - trailing and doing light outdoor work in them. The highs and lows of marbling have evened out, and the red hues of Horween's #4 are really showing through. The heel has worn down more on this pair than the OG Higgins I received as a Christmas gift back in about 2017. All in all I'm grateful to have gotten to know this pair so well. It has grown on me, and with me. And I hope to keep it for many years to come as a proud gem of Americana.
