Bomberos. What can I say about the most popular brand in the dome that hasn't already been said? Wait, what's that? You've never heard of them? I knew I wouldn't make it through the dome wearing only one pair of shoes... even 2 would try my patience. So I decided to double dome- one "out there" pair, and one much more normal pair. But of course I still threw a wrinkle in there- this pair is the cheapest pair I have acquired in years, on par with cemented shoes more than the artisanal creations we all have come to love, cheaper than even many running shoes or even sandals! You know what? Decide for yourself in the pics, but I think they held their own. The unknown-tannery suede proved most resilient, shrugging off snowy trudges across the driveway to the car, office chairs and even some light "standing-around-vacuuming-the-CNC-detritus." The striated rolls on the shaft are appealing, and this model being a chelsea they are convenient as heck to just throw on. Are they without fault? Not at all- the last disagrees slightly with my feet, and I have some internal debate as to whether I like the squishy foam underfoot. They are more form fitting with their tiny welt when I have grown used to bulkier footwear. But mostly, they did exactly what I want my footwear to do- let me go about my day while paying attention to anything and everything not my feet. And they even looked good doing that. So sure, spend big on fancy footwear with exotic leather if you have the means. But if you don't, there are still lots of options to tide you over till the powerball goes your way.
