Grant Stone Brass Boot

Hi guys, My name is John and I live in Arkansas. First off, thank you for this opportunity! This was my first Thunderdome but definitely not my last! It was a privilege and a learning experience I will charish, not to mention fun as hell! I entered the Work Dome because I wanted to wear my boots in any condition and environment and not have to worry about breaking any rules. I work in a multi-positional role as an Internet Manager/Inventory Manager at a dealership. My role as an Inventory Manager takes me through every inch of the dealership, especially the shop. I even have to take a wooded shortcut to our overflow lot called "B" Lot pretty often. These boots have been rained on, snowed on, had the hot sun beat down on them, has had darn near every chemical the shop could hit them with and endured the cruelty of nature throughout the duration of this contest. I've also walked my German Shepherd Buddy in them, did yard work and went out to get togethers in them just the same. They have served me well and without fail. And, I think they look the better for it I might add! Now I've had to learn how to care for my boots as well. After all, they were expensive to me and I'd like for them to last as long as possible. So, I started learning about leather boot care and went to work. I bought some Horween Venetian shoe cream and a horse hair brush and once a month I've wiped them down, applied the cream and brushed them off. This contest has given me an excuse (not that I needed one really but it helps) to wear my leather goods and enjoy them as much as possible. Also, watch others and their journey with their beloved boots, which was fun to do! My boots have aged, gained some patina and changed for the better! This has been a blast! I've really enjoyed wearing them and explaining to others about this experience. My 26 yr. old son Brandon has been recruited and next Thunderdome he's in!
