J.Crew Cascade Boots

I was very intrigued by the sale price on these boots at $100 from $300! A closer look discovered a double row stitch down construction with fairly thick leather and Vibram soles. I've needed a light pair of hiking boots for a while and even though these are more of a fashion item than a performance boot, they seem sturdy enough to take a real beating. They don't have gore-tex like Danners so I decided to wax the roughout for extra water-proofing. I'm excited to see how these perform and patina over the next few months.
