Brown Full Grain
In March of 2022 I started building a small cabin for my wife and I to live in. So between that project, and my construction job, these boots were in for a lot of use this Thunderdome. One of the effects of the dome that i noticed, was that I gave extra care to cleaning and caring for my boots. This extra attention made me quite familiar with my boots. I started to noticed the smaller details of the wear on them. The stubborn white drywall dust I just couldn't get out from the stitching. The heavier scuffing of the speed hooks on the outside of the left boot from sliding around under the house doing plumbing. The deep scuff on toe of the right boot from when I dropped a sheet of OSB on my toes and thought I broke one. The yellow Vibram logo on the bottom of the sole being completely worn away from being up and down ladders over and over. Noticing these things brought back memories, good and bad, of these past several months. And it made me realize that although these boots may not display the ideal patina, to me they display the ideal OF patina.
