Patina Welted Brooklyn Boot

I chose Portland Leather Company "Patina" boots because I figured there would be plenty of Nicks, Franks, Truman, Grant Stone, Red Wing etc. and I wanted to present a brand that would be a truly unique entry. I don't believe it's about the maker but about the journey that is etched into the boots. This pair was comfortable right from the start and have traveled between California (rain rain rain!) Arizona (snow and cold) and New Mexico (snow cold and rain) four times as I visited my family. Every time I laced them up I admired the wear and use that they accumulated. I also marveled at all the entries in the running, what a great representation of footwear! To see the progression of wear in some of the brands and models is a valuable insight into future purchases. And so I end this contest with a great sense of satisfaction and I look forward to the next Thunderdome!
