Caramel Pull-Up Leather
This journey was something I didn't expect to enjoy so much; there was something very gratifying about grabbing the same pair of boots every day despite a wardrobe full of other pairs that called out for use. My obsession with wearing and caring for this pair kicked off within the first month. I sensed the best way to get them through six months intact would be to start with a light evening brushing with their new horsehair brush. After a couple of months, the first application of Saphir Greasy Leather Cream was applied—eventually, a few coats of RM Williams Natural polish over the duration. Here in the Riverina in New South Wales, Australia, we had a lovely warm summer with quite a few days above 40 degrees Celsius, this made wearing leather boots a sometimes grin and bear it situation, but in the end, it added to the overall fun. At the end of the competition, this pair had endured 1085 hours of wear(315 hours in March alone) and was still in excellent condition; the Caramel Pull Up leather proved tough and capable. The sole is surprisingly robust and still has much life left before a resole is needed. Together we shared some great and not-so-great memories, including: Dad's 80th Birthday and celebrations. My wife's best friend's passing and funeral. Countless trips up and down the East Coast of Australia. Some are in search of Silo Art. The arrival of a new puppy (Schnitzel) and training, walking. Morning walks to the bus stop for my son heading to school and back in the afternoons. Hiking trips Concerts and much, much more. Thank you to Stitchdown for creating this incredible experience, and I look forward to Dome 3.
