Red Wing 6-Inch Classic Moc

For me the patina thunderdome has been about weating these boots in a way that was true to my life. Which has meant a fair amount of time behind a desk, figuring out how to cycle in them for my commute and then taking the somewhere nice at the weekend. From regular walks down by the river to see the cows, to strolls around the landscaped gardens of the local stately home, they've visited all my usual haunts. From historic Cambridge colleges to tip toeing through university libraries ( they squeak on historic wood floors), to woodland walks, Glastonbury Tor and fish and chips on the beach they've coped well with many outings. They were the one pair of shoes I took for a week in Portugal, from beaches and hiking tracks to hole in the wall restaurants. I even made it through standing for six hours in a passport strike queue with no blisters or foot pain. These boots have been great, and have shown little sign of the things they've done and the places they've been. But the patina is there in spirit!
