S.B. Foot Slate Muleskinner
We are often advised to be more "present," mindful of beauty in the small things all around us. In its own way, the Thunderdome has been a lighthearted bit of mindfulness in my day. One that doesnt take itself too seriously, but should not be discounted as without value. And that deliberate noticing has led to some fun observations. Toe scuffs from the woodshop, a subtle color shift from the local red clay, crocking from favorite jeans... all a story only I can read because this fun little "contest." It's a tiny practice I hope I extend to other bits of my day. It's been a blast and I have nothing but gratitude to the organizers and the participants who made it special.
