March 2024: Ah yes, Black Klondike.. this leather is deceptively tough. It looks soft especially by touch and just on the surface. At this stage, first-second wear, you can feel the break in was gonna be formidable. I wouldn’t say it was tough, yet I wouldn’t say it was easy either, in hindsight.. As a 12E L / 12.5E R guy, I feel the sizing was just nice (12D). The boot flexes where my ball does, with a little over a thumbs width between my big toe to the front of the boots. Thicker socks fills up the space, so does a thin insert with thin-medium ish thick socks. Footbed is pretty flat,.. at first you can feel a bit of arch support but that sorta dissipates as the waist of the boot conformed to my feet. Aesthetically though, I mean come on it’s a 9060 and I’m blessed to say I own a pair of them 🥰
