It was easy to quickly grow my boot collection, but the satisfaction I get from consistently wearing and caring for the same pair brings a sense of appreciation that is easy to forget when I'm simply acquiring. It has made me put more thought into which boots I want to acquire, why I want to acquire them, and if they will get the level of wear that will allow the same level of appreciation to build.
