S.B. Foot Briar Oil Slick
The end of the Dome has wrought a rather contemplative state of mind. Part of it, of course, comes with witnessing the passage of time, the relativity in all things. How everything fades, everything changes. Be it a day stained by temporary sorrow or leather wrinkling in a funny kind of way. It is humbling, and a thought to relish. But 6 months ago, almost on the same day the journey of bringing great quality footwear into the eternal glory of the Thunderdome had begun, I also started a small artisanal coffee roastery. Being a new business owner has proven to be equally rewarding and challenging on a mental health level. And having the support of well made boots often gave me the confidence boost I needed to achieve challenging tasks or carry myself in important meetings. Most importantly, these boots are made for walking. And that constant reminder, paired with this fun exercise in patina, motivated me to go on long walks through the beautiful landscapes of the Pyrenees as often as possible. These moments of peace stolen from the hustle and the bustle of young entrepreneurship truly were lifesavers and helped me keep it together more than once. 6 months have passed. My small business is thriving, routine is starting to take shape. One could say it is almost fully broken in... Much like the 3340 that saw it grow and changed with it.
