These boots, the Patina Thunderdome, and the Stitchdown Premium community lead me to a come to Jesus moment at the Church of Broccoli! Thanks to these boots, I realized that I have been buying shoes 1.5 sizes too small - at 8D instead of 9.5B - and the whole world was opened up to me regarding comfortable and long-wearing footwear. After this realization, I promptly bought some boots in the right size, and what do you know, they were so freaking comfortable. In all honesty, I did the best thing for my foot health and stopped wearing the boots as soon as I realized how egregiously I've been missizing (after two months of wear). However, I wasn't going to let that keep me from finishing what I'd started! So, I dutifully stuck it out to the end. At the end of the day, these boots represent growth to me, and the start of a new era in which my feet, knees, and back are so much healthier and happier.
