I think I can express the thunderdome experience with words rather than pictures. This was the first time experiencing the TD. It's been quite a learning experience. My journey into the boot world actually started from watching the Peaky Blinders series. It persuaded me to by a custom 20's style suit and from there I started discovering custom clothes, selvedge denim and custom bootmakers. I learned about the TD contest on pretty short notice and had just receieved the Viberg service boots that I submitted. I'm usually solo so I don't get very many pictures of myself or my boots when they are on my feet. They have been worn probably 75% of the 6 months, usually as a day to day boot with no great experiences as far as where they have been or what they have been involved with. Mainly in casual attire, to work ( I work in a control room in the oil and gas field ), some motorcycle rides and just when I'm out and about. The boots have served me well and are quite comfortable aside from being a little slippery on the inside. An easy break in period and starts to acquire its own personality pretty quick with indigo bleed from denim etc. This leather actually has a subtle nap that is somewhat noticeable on closer inspection. The wax on the backside of the heel counter really came through and acquired a natural shine. I love the unstructured toe and its collapse. I didn't take any special care of them or use any products aside from a seldom brushing. I wanted to keep yhem as natural as possible throughout the process, blemishes, scuffs, stains and all. I'll wrap up by saying again that this has been a really fun experience, although I didn’t interact too much with the community. The little time I did spend in the discord was a great. Everyone was very helpful amd friendly. I'm looking forward to the next thunderdome, whenever that may be and will be more prepared! Thanks to everyone who put this all together and let us all be apart of it! Good luck everyone!
