The focus of this make up for me was the leather. Blind eyelets. No shiny metal to distract from the leather’s change from Guidi olive calf to Guidi olive calf with a an awesome chocolate suntan. My introduction to this pair had a kind of lifeless, matte vibe. With daily brushing and nightly shoe tree exercise to show the leather some love, over time, an emotional connection developed. After about 3 months of life together, the leather loved me right back with a shell-like shine and indigo crocking across the facings like a Nestor Cortez mustache.
