Viberg Service Boot

What a fun six months! The story of this journey started two winters ago with me being envious of my brother getting a pair of Birkenstocks in taupe suede. I wasnt able to find my size, and later gave up waiting for a restock. And so I dedicated my first Thunderdome and first pair of Vibergs to sate that simple feeling of envy. This was my first pair of horsehide boots and I definitely felt the stiffness of this Maryam horsebutt throughout the six months and two conditionings. Although I havent worn these as hard as some others I definitely loved the memories I have made with them so far. Most of the wear was in the office but they’ve also gone with me on a 8000+ foot tram ride, light hikes, first dates, and small trips to the supermarket. They’ve been bathe in snow, rain, and the soft warm kiss of California sunshine! I havent beaten up these boots as Im someone that likes to wear yet maintain them as uniform as I can make them. Despite being cautious with my wears Im glad that I have made beautiful memories with this pair with many more to come. To me that is what the essence of the competition from my perspective. Not to beat up a new pair to bring out strong character, but to wear and put your own stamp on them with yours and the memories you make together. Onto many more miles, and experiences!
