Willie's Handmade Boots V3 Workboot

Horween Natural Rowdy

I was a few months out from the Dome panicking about if id participate and what I'd wear. After seeing some of Willie's work, I knew this would be a great boot for work. I settled on a mysterious natural rowdy leather from Horween I'd never seen used before along with V100 soles I've wanted to try. The pair was stiff as hell when they showed up just a couple weeks before the Dome and a darker leather than I anticipated. Fit was great on these and I ended up pairing them with some kilties from Dale's Leatherworks. During October, I spent the majority of work in the freezers and these were barely warm enough, even with thick socks. But, they started breaking in really quickly and became incredibly comfortable. Throughout the coming months, they got loads of brushing and a couple wipe downs followed by some Bick4 conditioning and that was it. The quarters softened a lot and shined up so much just from brushing. The soles won't need replacing for a long time and I see these boots lasting for years to come of abuse. Overall, this was a lot of fun and I enjoyed being a part of the SD community along the way.
