I initially started this pair in the dome as more of an experiment than anything, as I'd never been fitted for Aldens Modified last. I picked these up as seconds from The Shoe Mart, but the makeup was originally for Moulded shoe in NYC. I've since learned two things about Indys: 1. I love the look of an Indy on modified last, and 2. Modified last is probably the most comfortable last Alden makes, at least for my feet! I mainly wore these for motorcycling, but also for occasional job site visits and travel. The last wear in these for me was two weeks ago, when the Uber I was in was hit by another driver and rolled down the freeway in Austin Texas. Needless to say I'm writing this today, so I'm okay! But regrettably I seemed to have damaged part of the leather front on the right boot, which is a huge bummer as the D'annonay calf skin is extremely handsome to look at.
