I ordered these custom confirmation monkey boots from Franks because I wanted a great everyday boot that i could wear all day throughout my everyday life. I can wear them for work, at the gym, throwing disc golf, or just going out for a typical walk for miles.
I sent in a fresh fit sheet to franks and worked with Michelle directly on this build from fit to form.
It was great. I made the order by phone. I mailed in my fresh fit sheet. Worked out all the specific details with Michelle to come up with the perfect end product.
These dogs have seen everything an Idaho winter and an active disc golfing, strength training, and power lifter, could throw at them without abusing them. We're talking snow, rain, salt, sweat, and mud. Miles of walking and hours upon hours of gym time. They've been the victim of a few toe draggs on my distance drives on the course and saw full-time time hours on concrete floors while I was throwing freight for winco, conditioned twice in the entire span of the thunderdome with bick 4, and they still ain't even close to a resole yet!
They are fantastic. The character is rich and beautiful. The full lining frank's did on them gave them enough body, that they are very structured, but formed to my feet. The leather has beautiful rolls and creases. Couldn't ask for a more handsome pair to wear in everyday life from work, to church, and the gym. Just fantastic!
Like a glove. A very well-formed and structured glove. Molded perfectly to my feet, and just getting better by the day.
Craftsmanship is perfect. Frank's has never disappointed me yet, and this is my 3rd custom concept I took to them.
Lasting WAY longer than I expected. I figured I'd be looking into a resole right after the thunderdome finished, but low and behold, somehow I feel like I've got another good 6 months at least. And when it comes to comfort, they definitely are the softest of the vibram soles I've had under foot.
10/10 I would totally recommend getting this boot made for yourself.
