I chose the Packer boot because I wanted a boot with good arch support, but in more of a casual style than my builerpros
Nick's recommends going a half size down from brannock, so that is what I did. I probably could have gotten an E width instead of D, but they still feel good
It was good. They took longer than I would have liked, I ordered them May 20th and got them November 4th, but fortunately, they were on time for the thunderdome
Hiking, hunting, working food service, and around the house.
The leather darkened up relatively quickly and was surprisingly easy to break in. I have not had any issues with the durability of the leather and with a little conditioner any scuffs or scrapes dissappear. I have conditioned them once so far
The toe box has loosened up a lot since I got them. The heel is getting more comfortable, but it is still a little bit wider than I would like.
The design of the packer boot is very good. My biggest complaint is how loud they are to walk in because of the heel shape. Other than that, everything is satisfactory.
The sole has been holding up really well and has better grip than I had expected on most surfaces. Comfortability is not amazing with how solid it is, but I have gotten used to it.
The traction, unfortunately, is not great, and neither is the durability, but it will at least last through the competition. Comfort is good
I would recommend any of Nick's boots if you can afford them.
