I wore them every day, minus maybe 5. I work on a concrete floor, live in Minnesota, so am outdoors in all weather, and traveled/
It really softened — much more than I had expected. They were really durable, a non-issue to break in, and only got more comfortable. I conditioned them with Bootblack Atriste Palette in purple twice.
I made these lasts for myself, so fit them how I like to wear boots: supportive in the arch, flexible, plenty of toe room. I could have taken 1-2 mm off the heel.
I made these while a student was in the workshop. If I were to remake this design, I would have a double row of stitching along the vamp. I also would have made the topline snugger. It stretched a bit from being pulled on everyday, but was just a little too roomy. The zipper was great!
Love it! So comfortable working on my feet on concrete. I did get a crack along the toe, and they were a bit slippery in the UK. Much harder wearing than expected. The color also faded more than I expected.
I wore these everyday without thinking about it. I traveled with them to 4 countries. They were great! I know that some people rotate their footwear, but with something like this, there was no need or desire to change every other day.
