These boots were my daily drivers throughout the whole dome. I’m a lab manager, so I spend half my time in a lab and the other half in an office - nothing too demanding. Outside of work, I wore these boots to do basically everything else. The combination of the double shot leather and Truman’s rugged design allows these boots to fit into any situation. These boots can really do everything. One of my favorite memories in them is walking around DC in the pouring rain for several hours and they kept my feet nice and dry.
This double shot leather is amazing. Super thick and durable, but very soft. My only complaint is that it didn’t want to patina!
The general consensus of the 79 last is that the toe box is too narrow, and that was my experience as well. Most of the time it wasn’t any issue, but after a long day with some swelling my pinky toes definitely started to rub. If the toe box was a bit wider, these boots would fit me perfectly. Everything else about the last was great
