I wasn’t planning on entering the work dome this year as I had been laid off a few months before the start. Planned on only doing the Open category. Luckily I was hired and got a job a few weeks before the start, I wore these mainly in a Metal/fab shop doing welding and just regular metal work in dirty but indoor conditions. Nothing overly hard on boots besides the surface level stuff.
This is a really supple comfortable and easy to break in right out of the box type leather. Did one good clean and condition on them and the color changed in a good way slightly darkened just based off the conditioner I used I think. Overall nice leather that seems pretty tough.
Theses are a pretty basic off the rack pair of boots that break in quick but don’t have the same type of support as a PMW type boot which I didn’t have time to order with the last minute entry. Anyone that does any kind of construction/ labor type job is familiar with these boots. Overall good boot
I found a few cosmetic issues but have since thrashed them, decent quality build but with the price increase the value isn’t great on these anymore.
Soft and seemingly durable so far
These were a last minute purchase, I’ve had many of this type of boot and prefer PNW boots, with the limited time I had before the start I decided on these which are fine boots that will last me awhile and are comfortable out of the box. As far as durability and build quality they seem to have dipped some from the last time I tried them and with a price increase I’d probably go with another brand next time. Just a basic boot that have I steel toe that’s required for work.
