I don’t always wear boots and I work from home for now so I sometimes don’t wear any shoes whatsoever, so these didn’t get daily wear. They were great for travel because I could wear them in almost any situation, even fairly ones. They saw plenty of water, some mud, and even a little bit of sidewalk salt.
This Maryam leather is insane. It’s so sturdy but because it’s veg tanned, molded fairly easily. The color change from green to brown is like night day. The vamps have the shell layer and it basically shines up just like cordovan even though all I did was buff it.
Fit feels great. I’m a narrow ball joint but wide big toe guy. And a 44 fits great.
Top notch. Nathan doesn’t need to be making rugged boots with such attention to detail in the finishing, especially at his price point, but he does anyway.
No complains. Much grippier than dainite. Less comfortable than a leather sole, though. Plenty of wear left in them.
I thought I’d be slick and standardize my done photos, but I’m in Japan training with a shoemaker now and had to change the setting for the final submission…oops. Anyway, I’ll probably have these boots for the rest of my life, and am so glad I got the chance to order from Nathan. Will I dome next year? Idk…why would I need another pair of boots?
