Nicks Handmade Boots
My brother highly recommended nicks boots to me. I also believe that being in construction settings I shouldn’t cheap-out on a mattress or boots, because if I’m not in one I’m in the other.
I used a few different methods from prior boot sizes and trying out my brother’s pair of Nick’s, who wears the same size but in a wider fit.
The experience went well, a little nerve racking when you wait months to try on your boots and find out you measured your foot correctly, but have trust in the experts.
Ive been everywhere in my boots from construction sites, in the rain, ice and snow. Grocery shopping, working around the house and even on dates with them on. My boots go where i go.
At first my boots felt so stiff and heavy on my feet I felt like I might be wearing boots made out of steel. A few days of constant wear they finally started to break in. After a few weeks they molded themselves to my feet and feel like a extension of my body. My care routine is try to brush the concrete dust at least once a week. I also use Huberd’s Shoe grease every few months. Cause I believe it helps repel water since i live in such a rainy climate. The first time i greased my boots the rough out leather sucked up the oils and darkened them drastically. I also chose roughout for its durability because i work in construction.
Fits true to size and once broken in feels like a glove or an extension of your body.
The smooth over roughout is the best of both worlds, cause the top of the boot doesn’t catch on your pants and the roughout leather is super durable
Seems to have great traction even in icy conditions and are super comfortable standing for long periods of time and has minimal wear.
I would highly recommend smooth over roughout boots! Nick’s are high quality boots and if you can afford them i would highly suggest getting a pair.
