I have mostly warn these to the office everyday. I also wore them anytime I went out for dinner, nothing exciting! Haha
The break-in wasn’t nearly as bad as other would have led me to believe. From basically day one, they were more comfortable than the three pairs of Red Wings I also have. I didn’t nothing special for care. Just brush them down probably once a week and I think I applied Bick 4 2 or three times over the 6 months.
I love the way the fit. Hard to find quality boots in EE size, and they were awesome. I did end up putting a Nicks Delta arch the I was using in my jump boots. I hate shoes and boots with a narrow toe as I suffer bad from ingrown toe nails and the Thurman(Munson) last was amazing!!
I think think there’s another boot brand as robust as Nicks. Yeah, they’re a little heavy, but what do you expect out of that much leather in a 13EE! Other than a little heel wear(which is to be expected), there is basically no undeserved wear.
I knew going into that this sole didn’t have a ton of traction, but for a pair of rugged “office” boots, they are fine. If I was going to be standing around a lot, I’d choose a softer sole. But dang the low profile fits these sooo good!
It was fine. Some heel wear, but it’s a fairly hard compound, so not too bad.
I wouldn’t trade these boots for anything! I paid a lot for them, but I think I got what I paid for and probably then some. I expect to have them for years to come.
