Every day, and weather. Light housework. Hiking. But mainly walking in urban/suburban areas. It's seen every type of weather, including snow. Able to walk through snow and puddles over extended periods of time with elite water resistance.

Durability

The leather is exceptional. Virtually no maintenance. Waterproof, durable, smells good, and has a ton of character. Although it started off stiff, it has softened up and is very nice. It does not patina a ton, but I do have wonderful burnishing and crocking from my jeans/pants on the shaft of the boots. It's a pleasure to wear, and would consider Stead again without hesitation.

Fit

Satisfied with the Fit
Toes Too Roomy
Ball Feels Misplaced

Ugh. This is a little weird. I'd say it's probably a half size layrge, but mainly on my smaller left foot. I'm not sure that the half size would work with my larger right foot. Overall, though, with thick socks and kilties they fit well. Double midsole (although the individual midsoles are thin) and very supportive. All day comfort and plenty of room in the ball/toes despite the tapered almond toe shape. Have eclipsed 20k steps multiple times, and they're good.

Finishing

PH 618 stitchdown models are a great value. I appreciate the design, shilloutte, construction, details, and value. I personally prefer the slightly rounder 602(m) last, but this is also a pleasure to wear. Finishing is not GS or Viberg level, but it above average in my experience. You can tell passion and thought goes into the makeups, and the craftspeople are skilled. PH remains my favorite brand for that reason.

Sole & heel

Durability
Traction
Comfort

Parkhursts proprietary soles are wonderful. In this makeup, it's the inboard commando lug and it's the perfect combination of softness/shock absorption and durability. Virtually no wear on the outsole. My heel does exhibit wear, but all of mine do. Comfy and grippy.

Final thoughts

Would Recommend
Good Value

Great! If you have wider feet, especially in the fore foot try them out. Interesting leathers, stitchdown construction, high level finishing, and a handsome and comfortable last. What else is there to say?
