Nicks Handmade Boots
My go to have always been cowboy boots, but I have gotten into PNW work boots over the last few years (Nicks). When Nicks came out with their Palouse western boot I had to have a pair.
I sized these the same as all the rest of my Nick’s boots (7.5 E) on a 55 last. If any of my boots have been a little big I just add a spenco insert…it’s worked out perfect.
The wait was brutal (18 months), but Nick’s has been open and honest about the speed bumps they encountered with this release. They even gave all customers who ordered this boot a $150 refund because of the long wait!
I’ve worn them doing just about everything from hunting/hiking/landscaping/woodworking to office work and relaxing around the house.
The IBC has continued to soften and conform to my foot incredibly. The leather gets prettier everyday. My only cleaning/care has been brushing off dirt and mud with a nylon brush, wiping down with a lightly damp rag and occasional Bick 4 buffed with a horsehair brush.
This is the most comfortable pair of boots I’ve ever owned. They feel more substantial, tough and supportive as well.
The craftsmanship is second to none. Every detail was incredibly executed.
Perfect traction and it has held up very well.
I love the dogger heel for both the looks and it suits my heel strike better.
I would 10/10 recommend Nicks and their Palouse…especially with my build/leather selection
