I thought the Beaver Fur Kudu would Patina very nicely. I love the scarring and visual texture of the boots.
These are my second Parkhurst boot in 9D. Almost all of my other heritage style boots are also 9D. No modifications were made to the last.
It was the typical online ordering experience. I emailed Andrew and instructed him to pick out the most gnarly Beaver Fur Kudu in size 9D that he had in stock.
I've worn these in the office, in the manufacturing area of the shop 4-5 days a week at work. Also shopping, sporting events, concerts, hiking, and other indoor events.
These boots have held up beautifully with almost daily wear. When I was breaking these in, I wore them 4-5 days a week to work, and after a week they were fully broken in. Wiped down with a slightly damp rag and brushed after almost every wear. I have not conditioned these at all.
These were my first 602M last. They fit as well, if not better than any boot I own, which includes 15 other boots including the 602 last. I have rather flat feet and they've not caused any issues or any fit pain whatsoever.
I'm already looking to buy more parkhurst boots in the near future. They've become one of my favorite boot brands ever. They've aged very well!
The outsole is firm and supportive and very comfortable! It does pick up stones, so I have to remove them before going indoors as to not scratch the hardwood floors in the house.
They are durable, with excellent traction and comfort.
Parkhurst have become one of my favorite boot makers. These are my second pair of Parkhurst, and I'll be buying more very soon.
