Daily kitchen work and day to day leisure wear.
Daily wear from day one. Rain, shine, Snow, ice. This leather is very resistant to wear and is revitalized with mostly only brushing. I did condition with Bick 4 midway thru the competition period. It would probably take a few years to show any substantial color change with this leather. There is some discoloration due to oils, dirt and cleaners from daily kitchen work.
I have and extremely high arch and like all slip on boots there was about a month of daily wear in order for the pressure on the top of my foot to subside as the leather formed to my foot. Heel slip also subsided after significant wear.
Overall, these are built like tanks. The catspaw heel wore substantially faster than other brands. A small rip formed on one strap but has not increased after about 2 months of wear. Otherwise, I can’t see a reason why these boots won’t last for many many years even with regular wear in a work and leisure setting.
Generally durable and even fairly non-slip on tile and slippery surfaces.
Wore quickly with regular wear.
Purchased with then intent to own and wear them forever and have been reassured that they will last.
