This was a MTO that I specifically requested from BLKBRD, the first of its kind from their shop. Dismayed by the 18+ month build time for Mr Lou’s, I was looking for my first engineer that wasn’t $2k. While discussing shoes over Messenger with Blkbrd, I suggested an Engineer boot and they indicated that they were up to the challenge. This is the first of its kind made by an Indian manufacturer (to my knowledge), and it is something that Blkbrd and their skilled craftsmen should be proud off. Update: as disappointing as it was, this was not a good pair. Multiple issues with specifications, had a really wide shaft and a really low toebox. Toe structure was rock hard and uncomfortable.
