Lost Boy Boots Western Zip

I really like the elegance of a zip boot, and I incorporate a lot of western details in my style, so they seemed like a perfect fit. Originally wanted the Rolling Dub Trio flame zip boots, but I missed a restock and saw a review of boots from this brand. One of Su’s recent posts showed a model with beautiful embroidery work, and I liked the ability to customize the fit and design details. Pricing was similar, so I took the risk with a new maker (and glad I did!).

I reached out to Su of Lost Boy Boots to explain the lasts and sizing. He requested a set of measurements and photos and sized me as a 46 with adjustments to accommodate my narrow and low volume feet. He wanted to aim for a close foot so there’d be no heel slip, especially given we were using a more supple leather with the unstructured toe.

Wonderful order experience. Su explained everything in English, and he created a summary of the build after discussing the details over Instagram messenger. He took half payment up front and quoted an initial 4 month construction period, which he met perfectly. I ordered the boots on 9/3, they were done 12/31, and they arrived on 1/7/26.
