These are the fifth pair of shoes I've made ever and the second pair I've made on my own after a course I took in January. The pattern is derived from the Vivo Barefoot Porto (discontinued) and I chose the Vibram Ripple sole because the Christy wasn't wide enough. They've got a 12 iron insole, are hand welted and hand stitched to the midsole. There's a layer of bison pebble grain under the insole in place of cork and 2 layers of horse butt below that. The quarters are unlined, but the vamp is lined with a thin layer of cow leather to hide the Celastic toe box. The counter is veg tan horse butt and the tongue is gusseted all the way up.
