The boots are bespoke and the leather is incredibly durable. It has patinated but also retained is rich, deep and speckled appearance. They have become a favorite pair. Wearing these through a snowy wet winter was challenging, but they did not dissapoint. Tahura makes fantastic boots.Q&A
Why did you choose this item?
I wanted a boot that reflected richness and functionality. The idea was to have a tough but elegant riding boot for the motorcycle. Tahura made an additional shifter pad to go with the boot, but I got them too late for the riding season. Thus they became my daily "non work boots". I did wear them to work occassionally. I work as a shop teacher and cobbler so having bespoke boots is a real treat and I received many compliments on their looks and design.
How did you determine your size?
I sent in tracings and measurements of my feet. When you wear a 13.5D left and a 13 E right, its imperative that they get it correct so there was a lot of back and forth before the build commenced.
What was the ordering process?
Tahura maker is very thorough and suggested the materials based on my needs. Production time was 4 months from payment. They know their craft and customer service is great!!
