Heel, waist, arch is simlar feel to Iron Boots TCO. Toe box is a bit claustrophobic. Deceivingly low toebox. Facings are much wider than I would have expected. Definitely shorter and a bit less voluminous compared to the 1940.
Sizing runs slightly small for sure, but arch alignment is good, hitting me at just the right spot where you go “ahh”. Just like the 1940, the fit contour is just right and the boots stay on my feet with no laces.
