I just happened to make a chukka on my first last. After finding out I can do an akimbo TD of course I did, having two pairs fresh from the shelf.
Why I own this
Style
I just like chukkas. The first well constructed shoe that tickled something in my brain was a vintage camel desert boot with thick leather and massive crepe soles.
It is only natural to come back to this style for me I'd say.
Ordering process
I made them on the fly, when I had nothing else to do. Wanted to wear them on a buddies wedding, but I contracted covid.... Fml.
