Very special delivery arrived today. These are immaculate vintage boots custom made by the late Rodney Ammons c. ~1994. Purchased from original owner in immaculate condition with very minimal wear. Probably the wrong app for these as my goal will be to have as little patina show as possible, ha! Adding here anyway as I feel quite lucky to have found these and proud to own them! Can’t wait to get some pictures in decent natural light.. 🤙

Purchased from the original owner who commissioned these in 1994 and then hardly wore them. These were in near perfect condition with perfectly conditioned and supple leather, almost no heel drag, and minimal wear on the original soles. They fit my feet like a glove. These were handmade in El Paso, Texas by a true master of his craft, one of the best western bootmakers ever in the USA. Mr. Ammons passed away in 2024, making his boots quite collectible and hard to find, especially in immaculate condition. Cultured Cowboy wrote about Ammons Boots: “Of all the boots available, no bootmaker takes more care to produce the finest footwear than our friends at Ammons Boots. Handmade of select leathers, your Ammons boots will remain a wearable work of art. Every detail is sculpted. Every stitch placed for beauty as well as function. Hand pegged with lemonwood.
