There was friction on the ankles for the first couple days (rougher than military boots), but definitely worth it. The construction is Solid. Ive been wearing these almost every other day 6+ hrs on my feet. Regardless what’s added to the collection, I always end up grabbing these Horween bad boys. Cons: noticeable mistakes with the hand stitching
