Self-Made Flat Cap

I have quite enjoyed seeing this hat age naturally from the sun and sweat these last month's. I sell hats like these at farmer's markets in the summer but usually made out of chrome tanned leather. This is my first time doing vegetable tanned leather and I think I may do some more! The only thing I have done with this hat is wear it. No conditioner, no saddle soap or anything like that. Just simple sweat equity. I intentionally made the hat with the cattle branding mark on the side because it wanted to see how it would age around the branding mark, and I'm very happy with how it turned out. The hat is surprisingly water resistant in the rain and warm in the winter. I one hundred percent recommend this style of hat to everyone!
