Week 12. I had to be outside for a bit on this cold, rainy morning. I forgot to grab a jacket, but my feet were warm and comfortable. The boots are looking not too bad even if I say so myself 😁. The Rowdy leather is super thirsty and absorbs moisture. The water drops leave bumps on the leather after a few minutes. These boots have moderately conditioned. I applied Obenaufs oil once and regularly use Lincoln Neutral wax to shine them up. It indicates to me that this leather needs to be treated more heavily and consistently for sustained use in wet conditions.

My podiatrist suggested that I wear shoes with more arch support and a wider toe box. I wanted something in leather for casual office wear that had a classic heritage look and provided the support I was looking for. These were priced very well and available immediately. The 6-inch height is the perfect amount of ankle support for moderately challenging hikes. It also works well for me for the local winter weather.
I followed the sellers recommendations based on sizing down from my brannock size
It was OK. They did not actually have in stock the model I originally purchased. I accepted their offer to replace it with a model that was available. The shipping was quicker than I expected.
