I love textured leathers for the most part, and kudu leather has some of the finest natural texture with the colored spots, scars, etc.

Why did you choose this item?

Style
Workplace Needs

I wanted a boot for the 2025 Open Dome that I could reliably wear with suits as well as casually, which is a tough challenge. That said, my suiting for work is not so traditional (e.g., 3-piece), and is focused on slacks and odd-jacket combinations, with some suits, for which a burgundy-like color is appropriate. I also prefer some brogueing, and leather texture, these had just enough.

How did you determine your size?

Leo Last: 9DUS Men's Brannock: 9E

Brannock Measurements

I own the Traveler Penny (Alexander last) and it fits OK (I had received guidance from GS when I bought those in 2024). That last was the correct length, albeit a bit looser in the forefront and heel than the Leo last, so I went with that sizing. These boots fit very well with the limited amount of fitting work done so far.
