Grant Stone Moc Toe Derby

After some careful thought, I’ve decided to join this year’s Patina Thunderdome. I already own more shoes than I can realistically wear, but one thing has been missing: a high-quality pair that fits in a traditional business setting. I had a few key criteria: something versatile enough to work both casually and in a business environment; refined, but not boring; and made from high-quality materials—with a leather insole being non-negotiable. These Grant Stone Moc Toe Derbies in Tobacco Waxed Commander checked every box. I’m genuinely impressed by Grant Stone’s packaging and presentation. The shoes came with cloth bags, a metal shoehorn, and even a foam strip between the shoes to protect them during shipping—everything you’d expect from a well-considered product. Now that the competition has kicked off, I’m looking forward to breaking these in and watching how the patina evolves!
