The leather seems to have a much higher gloss/sheen than I initially expected; like a heavy clear wax. I personally would have preferred a more matte or natural level of sheen. That being said, I would assume if someone is looking for a more classically dressier Jim Green, that would fit the bill out of the box. The leather temper seems to be in the medium range for a more readily available boot. I am a FF/FFF in PNW boots; this being Jim Green's "narrow" last, I would still encourage anyone with a wider fit to give it a try. Especially if you are familiar with your heel to ball measurements for something like a Red Wing Supersole or older American logger. I would not get your Iron Rangers size.
