Momotaro Jeans 0905-SP GTB 15.7oz Zimbabwe Cotton Classic Wide Straight

Was in Japan in August 2024, and Momotaro had just announced that they would be revamping their product lineup, including no longer producing these jeans. They are iconic and I wanted a pair that was from before the reboot of the brand.

Went in person to the Ayama store in Tokyo. Had a great experience with the staff when trying on several pairs across different fits. I have large calves and cannot fit into narrower jeans with a correct waist size, so I had to go with the wide fit. I’ve grown to like wider cuts a lot more than narrower ones, especially given that they fit me better. They hemmed the jeans in about 5 minutes, and then they went into my bag and then my closet until the temperatures cooled off enough for me to wear them every day.
