Break in time was intense, took about 6 months for the leather to finally soften. Had a high instep and heel blister pain during break in period. Worn daily during office and light work

More about this item

Australian based brand. Sizing was really weird, half sizes denotes a wider width while whole sizes denotes the length. Brannock - 11.0E, got an 9.5 Australian sizing

Honesty, I was recommended these by the Rose Anvil video. He spoke so highly of these being so comfortable, having high arches, and being an elevated version of the blundstones, it compelled me to purchase these as my first ever official boot. I tried getting the bonsall version as I loved the color but these were the soonest available to me. I loved the overall aggressive look of the boot and while it does have synthetics within them like the lasting board and internal counter and toe stiffener, I can see potential in them and making them fully into a work Chelsea boot like Nicks As mentioned in my notes, sizing is very weird for this boot and brand, half sizes denotes the wider variant of the original size but since it’s an Australian based company, they have Australian sizing. And since I’m an 11.0EE on the brannock, I opted for a size US 10.5 which is 9.5 in Australian sizing. The Break-in process was intense for me, I got these back in November 2023 and they were my first ever high quality boot so I had no idea what I was doing with them. I wore them daily in the office and light-medium work on concrete or in snow. The entire process to soften them took about 6 months of daily wear and in that time, my instep and heel were killing me throughout the time. Since my style is nuanced, I wore these on boots on many occasions such as my wedding, formal events and hiking. The luggy outsole made it very adaptable in any environment it was in.

I got these ordering online at Boot Barn and picking them up in person. I was surprised to see these and Whites boots in their catalog and was able to purchase them with a work voucher I had along with a store promotion. The staff were not really familiar with the brand as it seems fairly niche and recommended Ariats that look similar. Ordering through a voucher is very complicated. Maybe because I’m inexperienced in the whole thing, but they had to ship it to the store first and then I can try it on and see if it fits then I can use my voucher to pay in person. Whole process took about two weeks for it to be delivered.
