I got these off of EBay about a year ago. I think they were made in 90s but I haven’t contacted Rios of Mercedes to ask. As far as Patina goes they already had some wear on the toe due to use (some scratches/gouges). I’ve really only worn them casually and I’m not in a trade that needs boots but the Crepe sole is super comfortable. I own a number of pairs of Rios of Mercedes made boots and these feel like sneakers compared to my others with leather soles or VBars. The hlue on the heel of the left boot is starting to come apart and I’m gonna send them back to Rios for Recrafting when it gets too bad to wear. One of my favorite sets of Rios made boots that I got for $50.

How did you determine your size?

9,5D Roper Toe. 10” Shaft Last: Size not specified

After owning 6 different boots made on Rios of Mercedes Lasts I have dialed in my size with them to 9.5D generally speaking. There’s variations though. I have a feral pig skin boot from Rios in 10D that fits like a 9.5 D and a Mad Cat Goat Boot from Rios in 10D that fits like a 10D sneaker size. It depends on the boot but generally with Rios of Mercedes a 9.5D does the trick for me.
