This photo really illustrates what an enormous difference lighting and background color can make when photographing something as subtle as a boot patina. All the other photos are with natural outdoor lighting in between clouded rain showers and this is indoor fluorescent with a dark background. This makes the brown core patina much more obvious and extreme looking than the outdoor shots.
