this is my next step after engineer boots
This is very easy, maker Brisel, the last axe is very suitable for tanker boots with a classic design, and I consulted with the maker
maker gave a lead time of 6 months, boots were finished in 4 months
These boots are often used outdoors in extreme conditions—exposed to rain and harsh sunlight, touring from Bandung to Jakarta and back, sometimes all in the same day. While riding, I often go through both rain and intense heat within short intervals, since motorcycling is one of my more frequent activities.
This leather is similar to the Black Klondike used by Red Wing, but for some reason it feels tougher and thicker, yet still comfortable. There hasn’t been much change, but I’m quite satisfied.
In my opinion, Briselblack tanker boots are more comfortable than engineer boots, mainly because they are unstructured. The axe-style laces really complement the tanker boot design, and the leather straps wrap around the foot more snugly, without any heel slip.
Adi did a great job designing these tanker boots, but unfortunately they’re not very popular. The stitching is very neat, the construction is simple, and the silhouette or anatomy of the boots looks great in my opinion.
This has been my favorite sole over the years—it’s not slippery even though it’s flat, and it has a strong vintage feel.
I really like this heel design—the vintage feel really comes through. Paired with a low heel block, it suits tanker boots perfectly.
This tanker boots design does feel quite intimidating. With a height of 13 inches, it’s a bit tricky to style with outfits, but it’s the next step once you’ve had experience with engineer boots.
